The transportation of the deceased is handled by the transportation company, and the following official procedures are also coordinated by them:
After being notified by the family of the deceased, our association contacts the relevant transportation company to ensure that the funeral is prepared according to Islamic rites. The process is as follows:
The deceased (mayyit/mayyita) is washed (ghusl), shrouded (kafan), the funeral prayer (janazah) is performed, and the burial (defin) takes place — all in accordance with Islamic tradition.
Back to topOnce the family of the deceased notifies our office, the nearest transportation company we have an agreement with is assigned and communication with the family is established.
After all official procedures are completed, the transportation company delivers the deceased to their address in Turkey or to the airport for other countries.
Back to topOur partner transportation company in Turkey is informed and handles the collection of the deceased from the airport and delivery to their home. For countries outside Turkey, the handover takes place at the airport.
Back to topRegular cemetery visit and cleaning programmes are organised in each of our regions, particularly on the eve of religious holidays (Arefe).
Qur'an recitation and prayer ceremonies are also held during these cemetery visits.

Participants learn how to properly wash and shroud the deceased, as well as the important points to observe during burial procedures.
