Navigating legal registrations and official documentation during a time of grief can be overwhelming. UQBAH coordinates all UK and international paperwork swiftly and accurately on your family's behalf.
Upon the passing of a participant, our liaison officers immediately guide the next of kin and coordinate directly with hospitals, GP surgeries, Medical Examiners, local Register Offices, Coroners, municipalities, and embassies to prevent any unnecessary delay to the burial or repatriation.
Documents Required from the Family
To initiate the official procedures upon the passing of one of our participants, please have the following documents ready:
- Passport of the deceased
- National Identity Card (if applicable for international repatriation)
- Marriage Certificate (if the deceased was married)
Official Bodies & Procedures We Coordinate
- Hospital & Medical Examiner: Liaison for prompt issuance of the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD).
- Local Register Office / Municipality: Registration of the death and issuance of certified Death Certificates and the Certificate for Burial (Green Form).
- Coroner's Office: Expedited communication when a Coroner's review or Out-of-England permit is needed.
- Consulate & Embassy Registration: Official overseas death registration and international transit documentation.
- Flight & Cargo Clearances: Airline cargo documentation and companion travel arrangements.
